
Boston, MA – In an exciting matchup at the TD Garden, the Boston Celtics defeated the New York Knicks 127- 102 in Game 5, achieving a critical victory in the playoff series. The Celtics won for the first time in the series on their home court.
From the opening tip-off, the energy was palpable as the Celtics energized the game with their aggressive style of play. The Celtics’ starting point guard led the way, scoring 34 points, while Jaylen Brown contributed 26 points and 12 assists. Payton Pritchard came off the bench to make a significant impact with 17 points. The Celtics made 22 out of 49 three-pointers.
Meanwhile, Jalen Brunson fouled out of the game after scoring 22 points. Jason Hart led the Knicks with 24 points while Karl Anthony Towns added 19 points and eight rebounds.
