What the warrant and reports allege
An arrest warrant says U.S. Marshals and LSU Police found the suspects—Shemell Jacobs (17) and Keldrick Jordan (18)—inside Lindsey’s residence on Aug. 4. The Marshals recovered firearms, which include AR-15 rifles, a Draco, and a Glock. The teens are accused of the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Corey Brooks in Alexandria, La., in May 2025. Lindsey’s attorney, Kris Perret, says Lindsey did not know the visitors were fugitives. “Lindsey attended football camp for part of their stay.”
According to local reports, the warrant alleges that an associate stated Lindsey was aware that the teenagers were wanted. Lindsey has been released on a $5,000 bond, reports indicate.
LSU’s status update
LSU acknowledged the arrest and said Lindsey is suspended from all team activities pending the outcome. Lindsey enrolled this summer as a four-star recruit in the 2025 class.
