Indiana Pacers star guard Tyrese Haliburton’s father, John Haliburton, has been suspended from attending Pacers games indefinitely. This decision follows an incident in which John jumped onto the court after the Pacers eliminated the Milwaukee Bucks from the playoffs. He waved a towel featuring his son’s face in front of Giannis Antetokounmpo and shouted, “This is what we do!”
After the incident became a national story, the Indiana Pacers did the right thing by banning Haliburton’s father until further notice. Under no circumstances should fans be on the court celebrating, and under no circumstances should they be able to approach a player and taunt him. This situation was totally uncalled for, and the ban is a great way to take the attention off the situation.
